Book Review: Biblical Minimalism: Following Jesus from a Life of Abundance to a More Abundant Life

What a wonderful, thought-provoking book! Author Cheryl E. Smith shares her own life-altering downsizing story, including the practicalities and rewards, all grounded in Scripture. This is a wonderful guide to contentment, a calmer lifestyle, and a peace-filled family life. This book would also make a great small group Bible study.

Cheryl E. Smith is the author of the book, Biblical Minimalism, the story of her family's journey from a life of abundance to a more abundant life. She is the author of the blogs: Biblical Minimalism, where she writes about minimalism from a Biblical perspective; and Homespun Devotions, where she writes devotionals and conducts 'Inner Views.'  She loves to spend time with her husband and son in the mountains, sing and play Bluegrass music, and write. 1. That sounds like an awesome book for all Christians to read. There's nothing like having nothing and having God provide :)

It's great to see your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!

    1. Linda, Thanks so much for stopping by. I so agree with you about Cheryl's book. I received this private message on messenger after I posted this review on my Facebook page:
"Beth, thank you for posting about the book Biblical Minimalism. I didn’t want to comment publicly, but I’m contemplating an early retirement come next May and while I feel the strong heart pull of God, I also struggle with the thought of losing a very good income and health insurance. Pray for us as we work through the practical side of walking away from earthly gain. I guess this is where faith comes in, yes? I’ve never heard of a book quite like this and ordered it right away. Thanks again for sharing." Many blessings to you!
